Establishment of Digital Asset Center and Expansion of Dedicated Staff
We established a dedicated organization for virtual asset and AI service cases and strengthened our staffing.
Jeongpyeong Law Firm LLC established its Digital Asset Center in May. This organization is dedicated to handling cases and providing advisory services in the fields of virtual assets and AI services.
Because precedent in this area remains limited, the scope of application of existing legal principles must be reexamined for each case. This was the reasoning behind our decision that individual attorneys' experience needed to be accumulated at the organizational level.
The Center primarily handles disputes over exchange listings and delistings, determinations of securities status in issuance structures, and cases involving the allocation of damages from system failures.
The Center also conducts regulatory reviews at the pre-launch stage of services. This reflects our practical experience that upfront design costs less than after-the-fact response.
Along with establishing the Center, we have added attorneys with relevant field experience and technical advisory staff.
Developments in overseas regulatory trends are compiled monthly and shared internally.
